Big they are the mysteries of the land.

Big also they are the secret abysses inside the man.

Now Yauri with his work brings us over to these two dimensions in a trip to the depths of the soul. Of his pictures prominent figures wrapped emerge in a rarefied, own air of the high regions. They are figures or spirits like guarded in a thousand-year-old dream, softened, of cloudy, moving in a magic reality.

Step by step the dancers appear with his scissors without edge of wounds, only for the dance. Slowly the mothers of the land appear before the spectator with his echoes that they beg to the wind in order that he takes the bad spirits to himself Yauri with his paintbrush there makes sound the tinya, drum of leather. he makes canes and reed-grasses alive called of the instruments, of the longor, of the waqrapuko horn of bull. The painter takes part in this holiday that invokes the protection of the mountain, which produces honoring to the tutelary gods. Dances where men, animals, nature, aúnan the appreciation being demonstrated mutually.

In this sample Yauri does not look for the strong colors that he raises the Sun, but the tonality that he remains in the background of the land, behind the skin of the world. The color of the beginning of the underground rivers, of the mineral Andean eye under the rocks, which it is the same search in the depth of the man.

This one and not other one is the poetical force that inspires his work where they influence legends, ruins, dances, ceremonies, singings.

Yauri offers his work as a great rite to his forbears.

He does that the tradition is always present because of it his value takes root in creating an art with roots it is to say an own painting of our America.

It is very pleasing to present the painter César Yauri who two years ago went graduated of the National School of Fine arts with the Promotion " KAWSAQ YUPI " (LIVING FINGERPRINT), obtaining one of the most important distinctions that grants the School to his better gone away graduated ones.

He was my pupil and I am a witness of exception so much of his artist's talent since of his singular path that since student had in the School.

The work that Yokel presents today to the public in the important Gallery Vargas de San, in his first individual exhibition, they reflect the poetical feeling of his author, taking as a subject matter the interpretation of the diverse expressions of the Andean Culture (Dances, Sacred Rites, Agricultural Task). Topics treated about simple way, with images of great lyric wealth inside a polished chromatic balance that defines brightly his good trade.

Yauri develops two topics that are based on the holiday of the Santiago, which is a thousand-year-old holiday dedicated to the animals and the Dance of the Scissors in which groups of dancers are represented in competition, which Atipanakuy names also. All this magic world is perfectly caught and interpreted for Yauri who shows us in the pictorial work that today it offers the supreme aspiration to form the poetical beginning) of the life with notable simplicity in the interpretation of the figures and with a great capacity of synthesis in the exceptional freshness of his plastic language.
Talented, simple and spontaneous César Yauri is the faithful reflection of the real artist and if he was brilliant as pupil in the Art school, assurance that also it will be like a professional.

" He shows us to be a holder of a creative singular vein in which so much the plastic values as the poetical evocations, he runs pairs in guessed right interpretations evocativas of the years of his infancy in his rural way, since all his topics are in relation with housekeeping and human types of the agricultural regional life; but he is not a pintoresquista that is served the alive chromatism of the indigenous apparel, which though this he appears in his compositions, it is like wrapped in a misty atmosphere of persistent mist betweenwhich they re-illuminate the vigorous fillings of a vibrant, thick, material pinceleo that forms a part of the peculiar way of seeing and to feel these forms and these human types that Yauri shows ".

" Like Kramusa, Chimaycha or kacharpari, since they name, respectively, to the farewell of the dance of scissors in Ayacucho, Huancavelica and Apurímac, we will evoke the exhibition done in Miraflores's French Alliance by the painter huancavelicano César Yauri, stocks in the dancers of the diverse dances vernaculares that he evokes of his Andean life. There he is vibrant, for wind ways, to the sound of the dawn, the dansaq, since also he is I shoot as vestige of centuries, dancer who between the huancavelicanos accompanies the dancer of scissors on a work of disciplinary and picturesque comic singer. Hereby the magic of the dance pervive as a demonstration of the immortality of the soul of a village of wide spiritual wealth as ours, the Peruvian ".

César Yauri Huanay's painting is a peculiar way of interpreting the misty atmosphere of persistent mist of Peruvian walks.

2.NIEBLA DE TAYACAJA

" Whem the painter César Yauri Huanay evokes in his fabrics the landscape and Ahuaycha's customs, the district of Tayacaja's province (Huancavelica) where he was born, his figures seem to be wrapped in a bluish fog, which turns them phantasmagoric, unreal. They seem to be the scenes of a dream when time later, we try to remember it. His painting is not classified in a certain kind.He goes of the figurative one to the abstract one and does not limit himself to an alone topic. But still yet in his pictures of geometric forms where the topic is more suggested that exposed, the Andean colors are visible in definite contrasts. " César Yauri gathers in his pictures rural images with very much movement, though also he does abstract works. His paintings have an atmosphere like a dream".

The different directions that has followed) the development of the contemporary painting have ended for annoying, disorienting and to lose the thread of contents and finds, both to the painters and to the spectators, because of it he is very gratificante to meet an artist as César Yauri, who, fundamentally he has a base form with excellent drawing and control and domain of the figure humanizes, which united to his fruitful imagination, guarantees the results that he us puts at sight in each of his pictures.

We will say, besides, that treats itself about a painter that, without cancelling stages he does not have why to do it demonstrates us with a great safety and fluency, the authority that he possesses for the portrait or that is the same thing, for topics of realistic race. Of here it is possible to to give the luxury of improvising risks while he walks along the boundaries of the abstraction, experience of which always he goes out forward with ideal results.

His walk supports for her abstract imagination with a series of resources that divide, they begin, he has his beginning in a sure speculation of effects: The apparent shades, supposed volume, which forces the observer to fit the precision of the retina, with what, who is opposite to the picture he discovers to have been an object of one " joke of good taste ", finamente elaborated by the artist; another Yauri's good game (for that it is a question of a playful painter in the exact sense of the word): it is the space, inside which he generates another space, which originates a certain " optical illusion ", without this means to enter trends or spheres of schools linked with the fantasy (or the fantastic thing): César is in her abstract imagination when he goes out of the realistic frame. Also it is important to clarify that the Andean subject matter is the one that him gives, to the artist who us occupies this safety that has to apply his textures, his brushstrokes, his compositions, his balances, hissettings and overcoat to reveal his solid knowledge brings over of the theory of the color.

Always we will have to speak about César Yauri and, because of it same, we are sure of his success as artist and also of his exact place in the panorama of the Peruvian painting. And we risk saying that it is very possible that very prompt we see his works in volume, sculptures or ceramics.

José Antonio Bravo de las condiciones de forma y color.

" Anonymous prominent figures with poetical intonations and powerful plastic values agglutinate the work of this young artist.

His topics are related to his infancy, in his rural way reflecting the occupation of the agricultural life. But all this under a very personal optics, creating an atmosphere and special haze that us resembles a dream. They are strange, impersonal prominent figures with apparels impregnated with color and strong brushstrokes executed with energy and vigorous fillings. .

It is a question of topics daily but represented of a very special form, they are not traditional peasants but rather individuals that float or travel towards the spectator, wrapped in a peculiar mist splashed by faeces of light that increase the mystery, emulating a scene of terror or of science - fiction.

He has a wide chromatic range centring on blue tones and ocres, obtaining between the plastic matter and the colors a composition he would imagine, surrealistic. The above mentioned prominent figures seem that they re-arise from the filling of the energetic brushstrokes that characterize the low part of the linen, this way he does not differ between the feet of the peasants and the brushstrokes of the bottom, creating a unit, everything ".

César Yauri exhibits individually for the first time in Ciudad Real and Elisa Cendrero chooses the Museum, already he is known nevertheless so Lopez-Villaseñor presented a work in the Museum in a collective sample " Art of the New World " in the year 2000.
César Yauri graduated in BBAA, speciality in drawing and painting, with a very extensive curriculum and of great interest, a score of prizes and mentions, and more than hundred exhibitions between individual and collective. His works are known in half a world by his samples. He is undoubtedly a great professional, in the whole extension of the word.

He begins his pictorial gait, with influences of the school of Lima and Cusco. Sincehe is logical, with touches of big teachers as Diego Quispe, Melchor Perez de Holguin, Basilio of Santa Cruz, of last centuries, Pancho Fierro, Jose Sabogal, Fernando de Szyszlo, but with something very peculiar, he has and forms his own personality, which for one newly licensed already was great, nevertheless his painting is modern moves inside a very original surrealism, with fruits on very suggestive blocks. Later his works are more matéricos and texturales in the principal topic, to smooth the environments with a very simple scale, a geometric surrealism in occasions placed with opened lines different planes with ventanitas multicolored, giving volume to the work, he mixes instruments, daily utensils, etc.

The series of dancers, are of great interest, for his plastic beauty, sugestividad chromatic, and first of all undoubtedly the most important thing, have mobility the prominent figures and create a real atmosphere, which the visitor catches to the moment, being the whole ostentation of pictorial creativity. When he touches a composition where the figure humanizes it is the principal topic, it is undoubtedly his major contribution to the painting, obtaining something really difficult, to form the personality and the similar one, always it is something typical in him, a block as additional support for any composition.

Undoubtedly César Yauri has agility in the outline, is restricted, in the color, has big knowledges and facility to form different planes, in occasions superput with the difficulty that they bear, his perspective is treated accurately with a great linear authority

His palette is wide and grateful, with sugestividad cromatics, very sincere. César Yauri leaves not even an alone moment to transmit in his linens, his roots, his identity, which is always of being grateful, his elements are, autochthonous instruments, gowns established to his land, as the mantle ollacolla, the chullo, the dirty persons, etc. The animal flame Andean, indigenous graphs, transmitting undoubtedly this flavor of Peru, but taken to a modern, current painting, always inside his personalísimo I am used surrealistic - suggestively - geometrically, of great quality.
César Yauri, is the artist predestined to the victory who is managing day after day to be in the top, has many qualities in order that he is like that, moderate, bold, circumspect, accustomed and first of all a tireless worker.

JOSE LUIS MARCHANTE ARAQUE

César Yauri is a magic hyperrealist interested in the light, concentrated in investigating in the fenomenología of the object, showing his interior across the formal representation of the same one.
